I think next year we need to be in Dog Town. I unfortunately was not able to make it over to Lionshead to get eyes on it but I heard it was the most popular zone and was extremely busy. It felt like we were on our own island over at the bouldering wall and our attendance was slower/less than other zones. The main village was very busy specifically near the whitewater zone also. I think if we were to activate in Dog town and push more of our dog bowls, bags and do onsite laser etching over there-utilizing our ai or other ai for the dog images we would have crushed even more.
You trying to go pro bro? The GoPro Mountain Games went off with a bang this year. Biking, whitewater sports, running, climbing and dog activities were all showcased at the games. Yeti showed up in full force activating the Lodge build, two full hydration kits and a custom laser engraving op in the lodge. The build was a beast of an undertaking, but all the logistics fell into place with the masterful planning of Doug and RT. We were able to build the Lodge on a 2'-6' scaffolding on unlevel ground and were given strict guidelines on infil and exfil. Our booth space was right at the bottom of Gondola One directly facing the boulder wall. We took over the space and made that zone the Yeti Zone. The main POC was Peggie from the Vail Valley Foundation and she was a pleasure to work with on site-extremely attentive, detail oriented, easy communication and understanding of the task at hand.
At this op we ended up utilizing the Yeti Custom AI image generation platform to assist customers with creating custom logos to laser engrave onto their drinkware. This was a new experience for not only some of the crew members but also a lot of the customers and attendees at the booth. I think this form of graphic creation works great. Informing the customer of what we were doing and then allowing them to purchase the drinkware, sit down on our patio to create their custom graphic, and emailing it to us to enter into the laser queue worked well for this new offering.
We had numerous bags on display and we were working diligently to take the time with attendees to explain their use cases and the difference between them. We generated a few sales and or positive interactions around the Cayo's and Ranchero's. Over the course of the weekend, we sold approximately 19k in drinkware, bags and accessories.
Renting E-bikes was critical on this op for it allowed an easy and quick transport into and out of the event venue. I think e-bikes should be an asset that is pursued for our kits but it is extremely venue dependent.
The crew moral was excellent throughout the event. I enjoyed leading this event and every single person on the crew showed up ready and willing to put in some hard build days.
