SHOT Show

When it comes to the shooting sports industry, SHOT Show is the granddaddy of them all. From January 20-23, the Venetian Expo showcases any and all matter of hunting, shooting, tactical, and military gear. This show is not open to the public and attendees must hold a tangible connection to the industry such as LE, active military, employment in the industry, etc. This exclusivity culminates in an environment of professionals and sets the stage for brands to present, showcase, and divulge their newest and/or unreleased products. After a 7 year hiatus, YETI is back on this scene with a black room booth full of upcoming gear. This back room will be used to show off, pitch, and gain feedback on upcoming product from a specially curated list of brands and media. The front of house display will be lean and mean, displaying only new product and splashing back into the scene with a focus on innovation.
A 7 year hiatus does not come without its medicine. The booth space is in the bottom floor of the Venetian expo where we will deploy a custom 20'x30' booth. This booth will be tight and sleek, straying from our traditional wood framed setups in other trade show environments. Aluminum framing and custom graphics will instill within the backroom a sense of marked expertise. The front 2/3s of the space will include a front desk, 2 clamshells to display new products, and 2 pack stands to showcase the upcoming Skala packs. The back third of the booth will be completely closed off and under lock and key. In this room we will hold pointed meetings with partner brands and media to garner support and feedback on upcoming projects.

I'd say about 30% or more of the people that came by the booth were trying to sell YETI something. Whether manufacturing, sourcing materials, or retail displays.
Overall I think it went well, other than Brady and I having some things stolen. Report to follow seperately.
After being BD for several years, the crowd at SHOT Show was stoked to see YETI back in attendance. As a last minute addition to the SHOW, our booth location was less than ideal, but the community welcomed us with open arms. Teams from the design and product brought some exciting new prototypes and spent the show meeting with brand partners to hear their thoughts and feedback on the latest inovations. Although I wasnt in the meetings, the overall feedback seemed overwhelmingly positive.
There was also a large number of folks interesting in becoming YETI dealers or interested in corporate sales.
