This event was a good time. We did have a lot of issues with service (no wifi and our hotspot was not working) so getting the graphics was really difficult. By the time the doors opened we were lucky enough to have the Texas Monthly BBQ logo but that was really it. We needed to get the graphics sorted before being on site at the venue. So our laser graphics were limited to that logo or names or what we had already downloaded on the computer. Also with the service being so dismal we had a lot of slowdowns when trying to take on donations. We were able to solve this by getting representatives from feeding texas to the booth to take donations directly. This could have gone a lot smoother but overall most attendees were stoked to be able to donate to Feeding Texas and get a cup. I think we could have done a slightly better job at outfitting the booth with use cases of our products but we displayed the prudent products and had good conversations with attendees about the products we were displaying.
Smoke was pluming and meat was sizzling at this years Texas Monthly BBQ down in Lockhart. We activated on the second day of the event at the park. Utilizing a T2 10'x20' build and a laser. We donated approximately 200 cups to Feeding Texas. The venue was fantastic and the attendance was exciting. With this event and what we were doing there was a lot of money flowing to a worthy non-profit! We used this event to showcase a lot of our culinary based products including the new Yeti Firepit. The team members on site were Dan Willette, Michael Grisley, myself and Andrew Fowler. The Smoke Ring was being presented at this event to the top Pitmaster in Texas (ring valued at over 50k!). That was exciting to see Burnt Bean take home the ring and bragging rights for the year.
Dealing with the event organizers was extremely easy and they even placed Mill Scale's booth directly next to ours which was fantastic.
